What happens if you start squatting everyday?

Squatting is one of the best strength exercises for the whole body. But how useful is it and what will happen if you do this exercise everyday? We`ll tell you about it in this article.

If there is a single exercise that can include almost all your muscles, it`s squats. This exercise involves most of the lower body muscles.

The following muscles work in squats:

  • large, small and middle gluteal muscles,

  • four-headed femoris muscle (anterior surface),

  • biceps, semitendinosus, semimembranosus muscles of the thigh (back surface),

  • adductors of the thigh,

  • hip flexors,

  • calf muscles

  • rectus abdominis muscle,

  • oblique abdominal muscles,

  • transverse abdominal muscle,

  • muscle that straightens the spine.

  1. The daily squat will keep your core muscles strong and beautiful.

With strong upper body muscles, it will be easier for you to bend over and even just stand. They will improve your balance, reduce lower back pain and help maintain proper posture. Scientists compared how core muscles worked during the plank exercise and during a barbell Squat and found that the back muscles are more involved in squats.

2. If you squat everyday, you'll have fewer injuries.

Strong leg and buttock muscles will allow you to perform any exercises and movements of the whole body with the right technique, balance, amplitude and posture. In addition, squats will strengthen your joints, ligaments, and tendons, which will help you reduce the risk of injury.

3. By squatting every day, you`ll burn a lot of calories.

It is believed that calories are burned the most when doing aerobic exercises when running or performing cycling training. However, high-intensity strength exercises, such as squats, can cope with this task even better.

According to Harvard Medical School (“Calories burned in 30 minutes for people of three different weights”) a man weighing 70 kg burns approximately 223 calories in 30 minutes of energy strength exercises.

4. By performing a squat exercise everyday, you strengthen your leg and buttock muscles.

The largest and strongest muscles are concentrated in the lower human body. Buttock muscles, calf muscles, muscles of the back and anterior surface of your hips are responsible for many of your movements - from getting out of bed to jogging. Squats help make these muscle stronger and keep them toned. You will become much more comfortable in everyday life - climbing stairs, walking, carrying heavy bags from the store, and your legs will become more embossed.

5. Performing a squat exercise everyday will improve your athletic performance.

If you are competing in competitive sports, squat jumping will help you develop explosive strength and speed, which, in turn, will positively affect your results.

The squat is a dynamic strength exercise that requires the muscles of the upper and lower body to work simultaneously. You use these muscles all the time in your daily life. Squatting daily will help you improve your training results and reduce your risk of injury. But as in any business, to see the effect, squats need to be done regularly. Try to squat 30-50 times every day and very soon you will notice how your body is changing.
