Jonathon Hunt: A Figure Skating Maestro

With over 25 years of experience as a professional and competitive figure skater, Jonathon Hunt has carved out a distinguished career marked by hard work and dedication to his sport. He has honed his skills to become a world-class skater, performing in numerous high-profile shows worldwide.

Jonathon's early career highlights include winning the bronze medal at the 2003 Junior World Pairs Championship and a senior pairs medal at the 2004 US Nationals. His impressive performance trajectory saw him taking on principal roles in major shows like the Radio City Christmas Spectacular in New York, Whiskers Holiday Ice Spectacular, and the Ice Mystique show in Ocean Park, Hong Kong. He also contributed to ensemble casts in shows such as Tribute 2 in Atlantic City and Fantasy on Ice in Japan.

Since 2010, Jonathon has been a principal member of New York Ice Theatre. In 2014, he performed at the Sun Valley on Ice summer show and later joined The Next Ice Age’s "Men Skating" production.

Jonathon's competitive edge was sharpened as a member of the US International Team from 1999 to 2005, cementing his reputation as an elite coach. At the University of Delaware, he apprenticed under renowned coaches Pam Gregory, Jeff DiGregorio, Ron Ludington, and Natalia Lininchuk. He further refined his expertise under Artur Dmitriev at the Ice House in Hackensack.

Jonathon's coaching specialties include freestyle, pairs, pole harness, video analysis, and off-ice jump harness. A United States Triple Gold Medalist in singles, pairs, and moves, Jonathon Hunt continues to inspire and mentor the next generation of figure skaters with his wealth of experience and passion for the sport.
